Toronto, March 26 – Workers United celebrates the first anniversary of its founding this week with three more victories.  This past week three more workplaces, through OLRB Happy Anniversaryvotes, have democratically chosen Workers United over UNITE HERE to represent them at work.  The workers of Prescott Finishing, Filterfab and Sunny Sports voted 100% in favour of Workers United.  2000 workers from 22 workplaces have held similar votes since September 2009 reiterating the choice they made in March 2009 to leave UNITE HERE.  These workers show the true democratic spirit that is driving Workers United into the future.
