Workers United represents thousands of distribution centre workers. After apparel, shoes, housewares, mattresses and bedding are manufactured, they are shipped to a distribution centre for sorting, packing and loading, to be delivered to stores across Canada.

Among others, Workers United represents Winners and HomeSense distribution workers in Brampton and Mississauga Ontario. This is a strong Canadian company with a growing workforce; Workers United has been able to ensure Winners workers are getting their fair share of Winners’ growth.

Companies often contract out their distribution to ‘third party’ distribution or logistics companies. Workers United has successfully organized unions at companies like this, which are tied to such brand names as American Eagle.

From Winners to Sleep Country, Workers United distribution centre members are making their working lives better by negotiating strong contracts and fighting for a better working life.
